Ogun of the two cutlasses

This is symbolic for Ogun being an obstacle clearer. As far as I know. It is said when Ogun came down to earth, he cleared the forests with his cutlasses. So that there was space for land to be cultivated and settled on. It is this reason Ogun can also be credited to be the deity of civilization. There is a special relationship between Ogun and the forests. Many of his shrines are erected in forests.

Ogun also has a temper and is said that he is associated with battle.

Many devotees appease Ogun so that obstacles may be cleared in their lives. So Ogun may manifest into our lives and give us the strength to get through life's challenges to accomplish our goals.
