For people coming to this practice from Abrahamic faiths, it usually is difficult for them to really understand our philosophy of evil. I get asked these questions a lot. So heres another thread about our concept of evil. I saw this on IG awhile back. So I'll share these posts:

~Manifest destiny from within~

Awhile ago we had a discussion in our Ẹgbẹ́ Ọmọ Odùduwà server about taboos. Someone mentioned they felt "sinful" for violating their taboo. Ifa reveals our taboos in order to protect us. The purpose of taboo is not to submit and follow dogmatic rules to avoid "hell". It is to protect you from indulging in something that can hurt you. Ifa unravels past, present and future. Ifa reveals everything in order for us to have a good destiny. Ẹbọ is a part of our solution for this protection and to make ire manifest. We do not want negativity to thwart us.
