It is with great excitement that today marks the launch of iseselagbao.com !! A forum community for all who are practicing, learning, or simply interested in the realm of Ifá !!

Who are you?

My name is Iseman Johnson (AKA Omowale). I am the creator of the forum and the owner of this domain. I have been on this journey for a little while now. I was not born into this tradition and had no elders to guide me. It all started with meeting great people and doing more research into Ifá and Yoruba culture. I remember that it was first learning about the 256 Odu and the binary memory system that had enticed me. Research and sharing among friends eventually led me to seek out a Babalawo (priest). It was then I learned even more about the practice. The experience drove me to speak to other elders in the tradition as the wisdom and practices in Ifá started to change my life more and more into the person I am today. But enough about me, lets talk about the forum.

Why iseselagbao.com?

While there are youtube channels, tiny sub-forums, blogs, articles and private (invite based) communities on social media outlets. I felt like for Ifá to be such a world wide practice, there lacked a more open forum community. For such a world wide practice, we lacked a real independent domain on the internet.

What does this forum hope to achieve?

This forum is open to all from a Babalawo to someone who is just vaguely intrigued. What I had in mind when creating this forum is for a more open and united Ifá community regardless of village, house or variation. To combat misinformation. This forum is to be a bastion of learning, information, sharing, and guidance. A respectable and open domain!

So what can we expect from the forum?

This is a new website and there is work to be done. Expect slight changes to the forum in the future. Those changes will include but are not limited:

• A new logo.
• New icons and emojis going with the theme of the site.
• Bug fixes and tweaks
• Partnerships or event planning
• Advertisement to help fund the site
• Possibly rank positions
